Guiding Every Child With Purpose and Vision
Hello, I’m Yeongwan Yun, the Head Master of HYO Taekwondo.
I believe that true Taekwondo is about helping children love themselves and confidently build their future.
Over the past 20 years, I’ve taught more than 25,000 black belt students in Korea.
But to me, what matters most isn’t just the techniques — it’s the growth and heart of each and every student.
Calling each child by name, discovering their hidden potential, and celebrating their progress with them — that’s why I teach.
My philosophy is rooted in the Kyung Hee University vision of “creating a civilized world,” and I strive to honor tradition while also bringing modern, innovative education into my teaching.
By integrating STEAM principles into Taekwondo, I designed a curriculum that helps students develop creativity and problem-solving skills, as well as physical strength.
I want to help children not only master kicks and forms, but also learn respect, leadership, and confidence to dream bigger.
Every day, I dedicate myself to helping them grow stronger — in both body and heart.
Thank you.
