Guiding Every Child With Purpose and Vision
Hello, I’m Yeongwan Yun, Head Master of HYO Martial Arts.
I believe Taekwondo is not just about physical training — it is about helping children build confidence, discipline, and a strong sense of self.
Over the past 20 years, I have trained more than 25,000 black belt students in Korea.
Through this experience, I’ve learned that true success is not measured by techniques alone,
but by how much a child grows in character, confidence, and mindset.
Every student is different.
I make it a priority to understand each child, recognize their strengths,
and help them overcome their challenges step by step.
This personal approach is what allows students to grow not only as martial artists,
but as confident and responsible individuals.
My teaching philosophy is inspired by the vision of Kyung Hee University —
“creating a civilized world.”
I combine traditional Taekwondo values with modern educational methods,
including structured learning and STEAM-based thinking,
to help students develop both physically and mentally.
My goal is simple.
To help every child become stronger, more confident, and better prepared for life —
not only inside the dojang, but in school, at home, and in their future.
Thank you.
